On Wednesday 13 May at 5 pm, we look forward to welcoming you to the Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara for an unmissable event dedicated to Sir George Benjamin, one of the most important and authoritative contemporary composers, who will be present in Ferrara for the occasion.
Pianist Erik Bertsch will perform a recital that journeys through the history of European music, placing works by Purcell, Bach, Ravel and Rameau alongside Benjamin’s piano pieces, in a programme exploring counterpoint, musical memory and sonic research. The concert will be followed by an aperitif in honour of George Benjamin and Erik Bertsch.
